- Let the light in! – shift your brain waves to a higher frequency by opening the curtains, especially on waking.
Natural light also helps to release happy-neurotransmitters like dopamine and serotonin.
- Listen to your favourite up-lifting music – whenever you can during your day.
Not only do we receive a dose of our friend dopamine (which influences motivation and pleasure), scans show we stimulate many areas of our brains.
- Avoid ‘leaning on’ coffee – especially on the days you feel more naturally energized.
And on the days you feel you need one – reach for an option that can help enhance your nervous system, like a green tea or matcha-nut-milk-latte.
