What if we were to give ourselves, right here and now, the permission to have a blank slate?

Especially in relation to the way we respond to whatever is happening in our lives. 1

Whatever it may be.

And that’s particularly relevant for me right now.

With everything going on with the pandemic, Chris and I have decided to settle back in New Zealand as our base. This is instead of traveling during the winter as we have been for the last few years.

It’s been a steep learning curve as I didn’t realize that there was quite so much work to be done in the new house.  So many challenges, and with them – so many opportunities to learn, let go, and focus on those things that I can influence.

Gratitude is proving to be a handy tool to keep myself on track with this!

It’s been our first winter in five years. In the ‘mountains’ (actually ‘biggish hills’ to be more accurate!) and literally up in the clouds where it can get particularly cold, the adventures with various projects have been taxing at times. One that was especially gnarly was us needing to replace the apparently faulty fire box, and the new one not being installed for 9 long weeks during the coldest part of winter.

‘This too shall pass’ has been a handy mantra for me.

So here’s my challenge to you. It’s your mission, if you choose to accept it.

To create your ideal life each day.

To visualize what it looks and feels like and what happens, almost like a movie playing in your mind.

Giving ourselves a blank slate, in which we choose our response to the world around us, can be a powerful way to create what we want to experience.

Until we dive deeper on this week’s #AliveWithFi, keep sharing your sunshine ☺

1 “Our mind is conditioned to ask for permission. But to unlock your full potential, you must learn to give yourself permission and become the owner of your life.”

I find that gifting myself a blank slate is super handy for doing exactly this – how about you?
