Let me introduce you to Anu; a delightful lady from Finland. We met in Bali where I’m thrilled to say she was my dynamic yoga teacher for a season.

A short while after we met, Anu mentioned she was having some challenges with her hip due to what she felt was overuse from teaching classes.

We looked at her whole health-picture including her whole body alignment.  The treatment approach we designed helped her ease off areas that needed to allow for balanced alignment in her system. We also created home assignments to increase her cellular hydration and to tweak her schedule to lessen the intensity of her class volume.

You see, Anu’s interested in long-term results so that she’s in the driving seat for both what’s happening today, and in anticipation of her body’s future needs. 1

And that’s worth pondering for a mo…which steps can you take to be in the driving seat of your own life, more of the time?

I gave myself some tightly scheduled days recently, to the point I was asking myself who’s the CEO of my diary?  Because even if we’ve chosen to commit to a specific priority, we still can be intentional about designing our days in a way that works best for us.

I’ll be jazzed to hear how this resonates for you on this week’s #AliveWithFi

Ciao for now ?

1Being active is one way we can influence our future-health – “The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reports that someone who is physically active for seven hours per week is 40 percent less likely to die early than someone who’s active for less than 30 minutes per week. Remaining fit reduces your risk of suffering from heart disease, stroke, high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, osteoporosis and many types of cancer.”
