How can we create more with less?

Basically it’s all about adding more leverage in our lives.

If I relate this to work, I grew up with an understanding that I need to go to school, get a good education and get a good job. So I did that and became a lawyer. If I worked a month, I got paid, if I didn’t go to work, I didn’t get paid. Simple.

A lot of people are familiar with that one-to-one leverage. A one-to-one scenario where you work an hour and then get paid for an hour.

There wasn’t a lot of time freedom in this scenario for me, because most of my life was taken up with work, sleep, and a bit of stuff in between.

Literally speaking, if I was working 8 hours, sleeping 8 hours, which left 8 hours for other ‘stuff’, then the only way I was going to get ahead was to take one of the ‘stuff’ hours and put it into something that was going to create more results while I wasn’t there. This would mean I would then receive a passive, residual income – which would give me freedom with my time.

Creating more with less is one definition of leverage¹.

Ever more with ever less is another useful description, so we’re creating more and more results with less and less of our input.

To do this, we really need to have a system that allows things to run smoothly and efficiently when we’re not there.

In fact, the ideal is that it gets better the less that we do.

Of course, it takes quite a bit of effort in the first place to get things started and established. Putting the systems and structures in place, and making sure that people are clear about and following what they need to do. As we then step back, the process starts to accelerate and improve.

This is what I’ve seen Fi does so well in both her personal and professional life. Namely transitioning from being an Osteopath and Integrative Nutrition Health Coach to having time freedom.

If this is something you’re curious about, Fi would love to hear from you.

Ciao for now and have a fantastic week ahead 🙂
