This living lightly topic was prompted by a dear friend of mine, Paige Hunter. Paige recently shared this useful question with me: are you growing and flowing?

It’s a useful prompt because whatever we’re expecting to happen in our lives needs to start with us, whether we like it or not.

Often, our personal growth and how we see the world are influenced by our comfort zone, which is our way of being that we’ve become used to. If we’re ruthlessly honest with ourselves – this is actually a place of self-limitation. 1

I truly believe that experiencing life fully comes down to how much I choose to expand myself.

And how we expand and grow is unique for each of us.

One way I’ve found that’s an effective learning tool, is to listen to podcasts whilst I’m on the stationary bike, out walking, driving or even in the sauna. I balance my growing with taking the time to intentionally rest, which helps me with the flowing part.

I’m curious to hear what works well for you to expand and nurture yourself, and until I see you for this week’s #AliveWithFi, keep sharing your sunshine 😊

1 We actually grow when we’re willing to embrace newness: “Creating a comfort zone is a healthy adaptation for much of our lives. But so is stepping out of our comfort zone when it’s time to transition, grow, and transform.”
