Even though this miracle was fifteen years in the making it’s definitely worth the wait.

So here’s the scoop. About 15 years ago, I was fortunate to be traveling in Hong Kong with a dear friend, Mandy Beverly. Mandy knows the city inside and out, and took me to a beautiful area with gorgeous jewelry shops.

Now whilst jewelry isn’t necessarily my ‘thang’, these were extraordinarily stunning pieces.

I remember being really impressed, especially with one ring I imagined wearing on my thumb.  It displayed sizeable diamonds all the way around, and was shockingly attractive.

My immediate thought at that time was maybe one day. It was definitely not in my budget at that time. I simply stored it away in my mind because it made such an impression on me and I just loved it.

Maybe 8 years later, Chris actually had a beautiful ring made for me with diamonds part of the way around. And I remember thinking one day I’ll have diamonds put all the way around this baby.

Fast forward: on a recent trip back to see our personal jeweler, we took in the ring Chris had given me for mending, and asked for an estimate to fit diamonds all the way around. It turned out that the ring didn’t have the stability or infrastructure to be adjusted in this way, so he said we’d need a different ring entirely.

And guess what? The price for a new one so pleasantly surprised us that we decided to go for it!

A few weeks later, we picked up the new piece and it’s not left my finger since!

Sometimes I find myself just gazing at this ring.

I get goose bumps because it began as an idea so long ago. I share this not to brag about a ring. Instead it’s to give an example of what’s possible when we get clear about what we want and we hold that vision no matter what. 1

I imagined this ring for so long and in real-time (as if it was already there), including what it looked and felt like on my thumb.

We can do this with any – literally ANY – goal or desire in our lives.

For example, it might be to get fit, reduce blood pressure, experience extraordinary relationships, travel, have a different response to stress, or eat for our ideal shape. Whatever it may be, it all begins with our idea and making a clear picture on the movie-screen of our own minds.
