It’s time for us to hear from financial Health Coach Chris Folland who’s dipping into the question – is money masculine or feminine energy?

Over to Chris…

When I ask this question, I receive various answers.

Some say masculine energy because money is about growth and aggression in terms of going out and ‘getting’. Others say feminine because money allows for nurturing and helping people. I even hear the response that money has no energy because it is inanimate.

So, it depends on the person.

Personally, I think that physics tells us that everything has energy. Even a coffee cup holder can be broken down to the electrons vibrating and creating an energy that creates tangible shape that my hand doesn’t pass through.

In that sense, money has its own energy, and I see it as a feminine energy. I’ve heard before that if you speak badly about money, it will move away from you. So, how we think about money is extremely important. 1

I know that when I was first trying to get ahead financially, I was chasing money because I didn’t have the mentality to look after money. Similarly, people who win the lotto sometimes lose it all shortly afterwards.

So, the trick is to look after what you already have. That’s why I started to track money as it came in and out of my life. (You can simply do this on paper or get an app that tracks.)

The bottom line is that what you measure will go up. And hey presto – my money started to increase the more I looked after it.

Returning to the idea of the energy of money, whether you consider this to be masculine or feminine, the most important thing is how you think about it in terms of your life.

Do you feel good about what you see in the future?

Do you visualise having enough of what you need?

It’s a powerful question, and I’d love to hear your thoughts. Until I see you on this week’s #AliveWithFi when we explore it further, have a prosperous week 🙂

1 How we think about money influences the energy that we associate with this important resource. So, “if you’re unhappy with your finances, it’s time you changed your financial ‘story’. Remember: everything in our lives is made up of energy. Our thoughts, our words, our emotions.”

As a result, “our money, too, is made up of energy. This energy, like everything else, is impacted by the thoughts, words, and emotions we fuel it with.”

Have you ever looked at improving your relationship with money?
