One perspective when it comes to the lockdown period that many of us have found ourselves in is that this is an opportunity.

For me, and for many of my family, framily (friends I call family), and clients, it’s been proving to be an ideal time to reflect, pause, tune in, and even disengage from a level of stress that we may understandably feel right now.

One thing that I’m really enjoying is investing in a regular nap each day. It’s proving to be a really powerful time for me to let go, and have a deep rest. Interestingly, the research findings on napping are impressive…from helping us to be more efficient, to have more patience, and even experience better health.

We’re not talking about hours here – about a 20 or even 30-minute power nap if I’ve had a big workout that day. It’s a golden window invitation to pause, and I’ve noticed that it’s a time when my Genius tends to kick in too.

Let’s face it, we all get distracted and this can be a fabulous way to get back on track. It can also help me prioritise and ‘sift the grain from the chaff.

If this is a tool you’ve ever personally looked at – I’d love to hear your experience.

Oh, and if you missed out on our online workshop ‘7 keys to Optimize your Immune System’, let me know if you’d like me to send you a link for the recording.

Until I see you on FB Live for this week’s #AliveWithFi, keep sharing your sunshine 😊

1 Many of us might not feel we actually have the time for a nap. However what if we just invested 5 minutes – even if it feels like we don’t have that time available? “Research shows that you can make yourself more alert, reduce stress, and improve cognitive functioning with a nap. Mid-day sleep, or a ‘power nap’, means more patience, less stress, better reaction time, increased learning, more efficiency, and better health.” What do we have to loose?
